Jeantet advises Sorégies on the acquisition of BP’s ultra-fast ev charging business in France
Paris, 22 September 2026 – Jeantet advised Sorégies, France’s 4th largest energy company in the electricity market, on the signing of an agreement with oil major BP to acquire all of its EV charging assets in France, together with the team of employees dedicated to the business. Upon completion of the transaction, Sorégies will rank among the Top 10 fast-charging operators in the French market. This acquisition is part of the group’s €1.5 billion investment plan through 2030, of which over €100 million will be dedicated to electric mobility.
The transaction covers all of bp’s electric vehicle charging assets in France, comprising 32 bp pulse charging sites currently in operation with over 600 charging points, a pipeline of 14 sites under development representing approximately 200 additional charging points, as well as an inventory of charging stations and electrical substations. Completion of the transaction is expected by the end of 2026, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent set out in the agreement.
A strategic acquisition to scale up
Through this acquisition, Sorégies immediately strengthens its presence on motorway sites and major regional commercial locations. Sorégies is now scaling its model nationwide and joins the Top 10 fast-charging operators (>100kW) by number of charging points. The Poitiers-based group intends to leverage this footprint to accelerate the rollout of its national network. A charging station operator since 2015, Sorégies already operates over 1,000 charging points in the Vienne and Indre departments.
Electrification of end-uses at the heart of Sorégies’ ambitions
This transaction reflects Sorégies’ commitment to fully contributing to the electrification of end-uses and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. It marks the launch of the group’s national EV charging strategy and contributes to the momentum of the national electrification plan launched in April 2026. To implement it, Sorégies will take over the platform acquired from bp and integrate the bp pulse experts dedicated to the development, construction and operation of charging stations. The employees concerned, who will remain based in Paris, will join the new wholly-owned Sorégies subsidiary, “Sorégies Mobilités”. Sorégies will operate the new fast-charging stations under its Alterna énergie brand, paving the way for strong synergies with the group’s national energy supply commercial offerings.
The Jeantet team advising Sorégies on this transaction was coordinated by Adrien Fourmon, partner. The transaction was led by Wyssam Mansour, partner, together with Warda Zekraoui, associate, who handled the M&A aspects. Adrien Fourmon and Ananova Lohmann handled the regulatory aspects. Caroline André-Hesse, partner, and Elsa Layani advised
on employment law matters. Catherine Saint Geniest, partner, Charlotte Guion and Chloé Goldstein, associates, covered the real estate aspects.
