Loraine Donnedieu de Vabres-Tranié has developed extensive and recognised experience in competition law and European law, enabling her to establish effective strategies in high-level cases. She has led a strong and experienced team in these fields for more than 20 years and the many successes achieved bear witness to her expertise and her in-depth understanding of all of the legal procedures and issues relating to economic law in general.

Her experience and commitment are also key factors in the development of the professional bodies and associations in which she plays an active role.

Significant experience

  • Assisting French and foreign companies during dawn raids and in connection with numerous high-level litigation proceedings, whether acting as claimant or defendant, before the Competition Authority and the Paris Court of Appeal.
  • Providing advice and assistance for new entrants on deregulated markets (transport, telecommunications, gaming) before the Competition Authority and the European Commission.
  • Assisting companies subject to sanctions for anticompetitive practices in connection with follow-on compensation litigation before the commercial courts.
  • Assisting companies in the development and monitoring of compliance programmes.
  • Assisting industrial and financial players in notifying their merger operations to the Competition Authority and the European Commission, and management of multiple foreign notification procedures.
  • Assisting professional organisations and companies before the commercial courts in cases where there is a significant imbalance, a breakdown in commercial relations and other restrictive practices.
  • Assisting companies before the criminal courts in connection with proceedings initiated by the DGCCRF [French Directorate for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Prevention of Fraud] (deceptive or aggressive marketing practices, misleading advertising).
  • Assisting companies receiving aid or their competitors in the context of state aid procédures.
