Jeantet advised Credit Agricole Transitions et Energies in the conclusion of a strategic partnership with Altarea Energies Renouvelables

Paris, 31 March 2026 – Jeantet advised Crédit Agricole Transitions & Energies (CA T&E) through its fund Crédit Agricole Energies & Territoires managed by Amundi Transition Energétique in the conclusion of a strategic partnership with Altarea Energies Renouvelables to create a joint structure dedicated to the development and operation of large-scale photovoltaic projects.

The partnership resulted in the creation of a joint entity, 75% owned by Crédit Agricole (50% by the Crédit Agricole Énergies & Territoires fund and 25% by Crédit Agricole Regional Banks through dedicated funds), and 25% by Altarea Energies Renouvelables.

The structure focuses primarily on installing agricultural sheds equipped with photovoltaic panels on land provided by farmers. These buildings are offered at no cost to the farmers, who benefit from a new functional tool for their operations and a recurring income that helps sustain and secure their agricultural activity.

At full capacity in 2026, the platform will reach an installed capacity of 124.6 MWp, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of over 50,000 households. The electricity produced will be fed into the national grid, contributing to the decarbonization of local areas and the French energy mix.

For Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies and the Crédit Agricole Énergies & Territoires fund, this new investment alongside a long-standing Crédit Agricole partner strengthens its strategy of acquiring production assets. It also contributes to its ambition to reach 2 GW of installed capacity by 2028, reinforcing the renewable energy sector in France.

Jeantet’s team advising Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies was led by Philippe Raybaud, partner, Thibault Willaume, counsel, and Clément Bourdin, associate, on corporate/M&A matters. Gabriel di Chiara, partner, and François-Xavier Simeoni, counsel, were involved on tax matters. Hélène Gelas, partner, has advised Crédit Agricole Transitions & Énergies on regulatory and land law issues. Florent Prunet, partner, was involved on anti-trust issues.

Altarea Energies Renouvelables was advised by Jones Day.
