The Jeantet law firm will be attending the International Agricultural Show from 25 February to 5 March 2017
With the aim of sharing its legal experience and expertise of the agricultural world and especially the agrifood sector, the Jeantet law firm will once again attend the International Agricultural Show this year at Porte de Versailles from Saturday 25 February to Sunday 5 March 2017.
Just like last year, panel discussions or the “Jeantet fora“ are organised by the firm’s lawyers, in association with the rural law review (LexisNexis). With the presence of professionals and government representatives, the purpose of the fora is to exchange views on current concerns, such as the relationship between suppliers and distributors, new requirements on labelling and traceability (statements of origin, etc.) and even the application of competition rules to the agricultural sector.
Furthermore, for the first time, the Centre d’études stratégiques de la Marine (CESM) and the Fondation de la Mer will give a presentation on 1 March, alongside Jeantet lawyer reservists, to talk about issues associated with protecting the oceans and marine resources.
“For Jeantet, the agricultural show has become an essential event and we are delighted with the success of the panel discussions we organise each year at our stand. We are lucky to be able to call on high-quality speakers who return every year to share their experience at this unique event. I am also delighted with the variety of subjects under discussion, ranging from the consequences of the new decree on statements of origin, to the issue of marine resources protection and valuation, which is an important subject for the French economy. We have spent many years working on agricultural and agrifood issues, so it was crucial we were among the first to discuss these issues at the show”, says Loraine Donnedieu de Vabres-Tranié, associate partner and member of the management board.
Jeantet lawyers deal with all agrifood stakeholders, both in France and internationally, upstream in production and also downstream in processing, storage, transport, distribution, etc. They work in many areas such as competition law and government assistance, consumer rights (consumer information, product compliance, etc.), healthcare and food security, urban planning and taxation, agricultural cooperatives, lobbying, tax structures, producer and distributor litigation, inheritance law, European cooperatives and more generally in all areas relating to business law.
Come and meet the firm from 25 February to 5 March 2017: Porte de Versailles, Pavilion 4, Agricultural Services and Professions, Aisle D, No. 54.
