After a prior consultation phase and an impact assessment, new guidelines on state aid for climate, environmental protection and energy were adopted by the European Commission on January 27, 2022. These new public support rules focused on climate action and ecological transition represent a paradigm shift and prioritize the decarbonization of the economy.
