JACQUES-HENRY DE BOURMONT JOINS JEANTET AS PARTNER IN THE TAX LAW DEPARTMENT
Paris, 6 March 2020 – Jacques-Henry de Bourmont, French and German tax lawyer, joins Jeantet as a partner, along with his team, in order to strengthen the firm’s French and German tax and legal activities.
Previously a partner at LPA-CGR (resulting from the merger of Lefèvre-Pelletier et Associés and CGR Legal) and a partner in Germany for 10 years, Jacques-Henry de Bourmont has developed a well recognised expertise in international taxation, real estate and Franco-German taxation and management of tax disputes, with mid-cap company and investment funds. Jacques-Henry de Bourmont began his career in the International Tax Department of the Sanofi Group (formerly Rhone-Poulenc) and then continued his career in international law firms, including 10 years in Frankfurt.
Jacques-Henry de Bourmont also teaches taxation at ESSEC Business School and is a member of the IACF (Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux), the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and the IFA (International Fiscal Association).
The recruitment of Jacques-Henry de Bourmont and his team reinforces Jeantet’s ambition to further enhance its expertise in Tax Law. The department is present in the main jurisdictions of Continental Europe through offices in Geneva, Moscow, Budapest and Kiev on all matters covering corporate and asset taxation, and is currently composed of 7 lawyers, including 2 partners, Patrice Lefèvre-Péaron and Jean-Guillaume Follorou, Jacques-Henry de Bourmont’s expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Franco-German market will complete the practice, as well as that of the Franco-German M&A team led by Karl Hepp de Sevelinges.
Jeantet has the largest German-speaking transaction team in Paris.
